Resource Estimate
Resource Estimation
A Canadian NI 43-101 resource compliant statement was released on 7 June 2006.
Total Measured and Indicated Resource of 107.5 Mt has been identified (47.5 Mt Measured, 60.0 Mt Indicated) along with 48 Mt of Inferred Resources.
| NOTE: Resourcees have been limited to a maximum depth of 300 meters below surface. |

For the purposes of the NI 43-101 Resource Statement, Baruun Naran has been classified as a “complex deposit” under the Canadian classification system.
Twenty-four major coal seams currently have been identified at Baruun Naran (F400 to V500).
Of the 24 seams recognized, resources have been reported for only 11, as the remaining 13 had insufficient coal-quality data at the time of the geological model’s creation. Indications from both geophysical logs and early results from the 2006 drilling suggest that most (if not all) of these additional seams will soon be able to be classified as resources.
Additional Resources
A total of 13 seams have limited or no analytical data (some cores have been taken but results are not yet available).
The geological model suggests that these additional seams may represent an additional target in excess of 50 Mt. Analytical work and additional drilling are currently underway to raise the status of these seams to that of Resources.
