The following is a brief description of the background of the directors of the Company.

David C. Anderson, P.Geo
Executive Chairman

David was one of the founding shareholders and the first President and CEO of QGX. Mr. Anderson turned over the President/CEO role to Dr. Zweng in August 2006 and now holds the position of Executive Chairman.

Mr. Anderson has worked in the mining and exploration industry since 1974. He has a Diploma in Geology and a B.Sc. in Geophysics. In 1986, after 12 years of contract geophysical work throughout the world, Mr. Anderson co-founded Quantec Geoscience Ltd. ("Quantec"). Quantec specializes in the development and application of advanced geoscience technologies. In 1991 Mr. Anderson was invited to Mongolia to meet with local geoscientists and discuss the possibility of assisting in the privatization of the government geologic service branch. His initial trip to the country took place in October 1991.

In the early 90’s Mr. Anderson and his associates recognized the mineral potential of southern Mongolia, specifically in the Gobi Desert. This led to the acquisition in 1994 of the first mineral exploration license by a western company in Mongolia and the founding of QGX.

Alexander J. Davidson
Director

Alex Davidson is the Executive Vice President, Exploration and Corporate Development, with responsibility for Barrick Gold’s international exploration programs and corporate development activities. Prior to April 2005, he was responsible for Barrick’s exploration strategy and programs as Executive Vice President Exploration. Mr. Davidson joined Barrick in October 1993 and under his leadership, Barrick’s exploration efforts grew outside of North America and into Latin America and beyond.

Prior to joining Barrick, Mr. Davidson was Vice President, Exploration for Metall Mining Corporation. Mr. Davidson has over 25 years experience in designing, implementing and managing gold and base metal exploration and acquisition programs throughout the world.

In April 2005, Mr. Davidson was presented the 2005 A.O. Dufresne Award by the Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum to recognize exceptional achievement and distinguished contributions to mining exploration in Canada. In 2003, Mr. Davidson was named the Prospector of the Year by the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada in recognition for his team’s discovery of the Lagunas Norte Project in the Alto Chicama District, Peru. He received his B.Sc. and his M.Sc. in Economic Geology from McGill University.

Henry (Hank) Reimer, B.A.Sc., P.Eng.
Director

Mr. Reimer began his career as a mining geologist in 1948. After five years he became a mining analyst with Richardson Securities where he went on to become Manager of the Mining Research department. He left Richardson in 1970 to join Loewen, Ondaatje, McCutcheon, a research investment boutique, where he served as senior mining analyst and a director. He retired from LOM in 1992 and since then has acted as consultant. Mr Reimer has also served on the board of directors of several junior mining companies.

Barry D. Simmons, B.Sc., P.Eng.
Director

Mr. Simmons has worked in the mining industry for more than 35 years, most recently as a regional vice president with Teck Corporation. His career has included oversight of exploration, advanced development projects, and mine geology programs. Mr. Simmons has worked with several major mining companies as well as serving as CEO and/or director of a number of junior companies. He has authored several papers on mineral exploration and is credited with several important discoveries including the former Winston Lake zinc mine in northwestern Ontario. Mr. Simmons retired from Teck Corp. in December of 2000 and since then has acted as an independent mining consultant.

Mark Wayne, LL.B, CFA
Director

Mark was also one of the founding shareholders and the first CFO of QGX. In August 2006, Mr. Wayne stepped down as CFO after the hiring of Mr. George Putnam. Mr. Wayne remains active with QGX in a director’s role, a position he has held since QGX’s inception.

Mr. Wayne has a law degree and is a Chartered Financial Analyst. He has over 25 years of legal and investment industry experience, including extensive involvement with start-up and junior resource companies. He is currently a Vice President of MGI Securities Inc. and also sits on the Boards of Alamos Gold Inc., Railpower Technologies Corp.. Antares Minerals Inc., Stem Cell Therapeutics Corp. and AltaFund Investment Corp., a mutual fund that he founded in 1987.
